Flying alone is a real adventure for many children – and a big question of trust for parents. To ensure you can send your child on their journey with complete peace of mind, Raci Travel offers a reliable and caring escort service from check-in at the airport to arrival at the destination.

Guidelines for the Escort Service (UM Service)

Our special escort service for unaccompanied minors (UM) ensures maximum safety throughout the entire journey:

Mandatory: For children aged 5 to 14 years traveling without an adult accompanying person (at least 18 years old), the service is strictly required.
Optional: At the explicit request of the parents, the escort service can also be booked for teenagers up to the age of 16 years.
Capacities: To ensure optimal care, a maximum of 3 unaccompanied children can be carried per flight. Early registration is therefore highly recommended.

How Booking and the Process Work – Step by Step

1. Timely Registration and Booking
The service must be requested in advance – at the latest 48 hours before the scheduled departure – via our service center. A pure online booking is not possible for unaccompanied children. The service is subject to a fee and is charged per flight route.

2. Important Information and Travel Documents
When booking, we must be provided with the full details and telephone numbers of the person handing over the child at the departure airport, as well as the person collecting the child at the destination airport. At the airport, your child will receive a practical neck pouch in which all documents (passport, consent forms, visas, and the care form) are safely stored.

3. Handover at the Airport and Care on Board
Please arrive at the check-in counter with your child in good time. The person handing over the child must identify themselves with a valid photo ID and must remain at the airport until the aircraft is actually in the air. Our ground staff will escort your child through security to the gate and hand them over directly to the cabin crew, who will look after them attentively during the flight.

4. Handover at the Destination
After landing, our staff will guide your child safely through passport control and baggage claim. We hand the child over at the exit exclusively to the person previously agreed upon in writing, after they have identified themselves with a valid photo ID.

100,- EUR for the round trip

Tips for Perfect Preparation

With a few simple preparations, the journey will be a relaxed experience for your child:

Explain the process to your child in advance in complete tranquility – from the counter to the airplane to the reunion at the destination airport.
Make sure your child arrives at the airport well-rested and without any rush.
A familiar stuffed animal, a favorite book, or some toys in their hand luggage provide additional security.
Remember to pack comfortable, layered clothing (onion look), as temperatures in the cabin and at the destination can vary greatly.
Keep all IDs and necessary documents ready for handover at check-in immediately.
